AdWords Account Organization Can Help Conversions

Google Shares Quick Video on Getting Organized

Google has posted a video with some common sense (but probably commonly overlooked) tips for AdWords account organization, which may ultimately lead to better ad performance. If they weren’t commonly overlooked, this video probably would not have been made.

"Taking a little time to organize your account can help you to better target your potential customers," says Emily Williams of Google’s Inside AdWords crew. "It can also save you time and effort when it comes to managing your advertising."

Essentially, it boils down to this: If you only have a single keyword list in your AdWords account, all of your customers are going to see the same ad no matter what they’re looking for. So split your account into product areas by creating a new ad group for each of your products.

AdWords account structure is explored more in the AdWords help center.
