The Problem with Your Company Blog
By Michael Brito - Wed, 07/02/2008 - 9:19am.
A big thank you to Kelly Feller who emailed me and several others at Intel this article from the Wall Street Journal, “Most Corporate Blogs Are Unimaginative Failures”. This is perfect timing as I am planning to launch a new consumer blog for Intel in the coming months. The following is a tidbit from the article:
B2B Blogging and Value
By Janet Driscoll ... - Tue, 07/01/2008 - 8:46am.
There’s been a lot of discussion recently about how to measure the value of blogging, including in B2B organizations. Forrester Research recently released a study entitled “How to Derive Value from B2B Blogging,” and it contained many valuable insights into the state of B2B blogging and its adoption today. Some key findings from the report include:

Your Time is Worth Paying For
By Aaron Wall - Wed, 06/25/2008 - 9:01am.
Every day I still get lots of emails and phone calls asking me to answer SEO questions and how to build their businesses for free. I get far more email than I could possibly answer, but much of it is from people who place a $0 value on my time - which does not scale as a 1 person business, especially after the failure of communism. There are a couple great things about running a paid members only forum in a marketplace dominated by the cheaper faster free mindset
Copywriting: Writing Great Product and Service Benefits
By Stacy Karacostas - Tue, 06/24/2008 - 7:58am.
I just got done reading Clayton Makepeace’s blog article: Make your product’s benefits SPARKLE! Although it’s written specifically about finding product benefits, the tips he provides work equally well for selling services too. In case you aren’t familiar with Clayton, he’s been a successful direct response copywriter for 35 years and is credited with helping multiple businesses make millions of dollars. His is one of the handful of online newsletters I subscribe to and read regularly.

Training Your Mind for Business
By Stacy Karacostas - Fri, 06/20/2008 - 11:13am.
I made the craziest discovery recently, and decided I just had to share…A while back I was about to hop on a plane. So I was in the little airport shop looking for a fresh book or magazine to read. On a whim, I decided I wanted to work a few logic puzzles. As a kid in elementary school, I was put in the special “smart kids” program. And one of our tasks each week was to do a packet of all different kinds of puzzles. Rhebus, word seek, fill in the blank, you name it. And there was always a logic puzzle in there.
Make Your 404 Pages Count
By Stoney deGeyter - Thu, 06/19/2008 - 9:43am.
The general purpose of having a custom 404-error page is to keep your visitors on your site if they find themselves having clicked on a broken link. Why go through the trouble to create the customize page if it doesn’t even fulfill this basic purpose? I recently ran across a custom 404 page that did everything but what it should.
Consumers Want to Be Heard
By Michael Brito - Wed, 06/18/2008 - 9:33am.
The following is a repost (with slight changes/modifications) of something I wrote earlier this year. Still relevant and I wanted to share with all of you. The following happens all the time.
