Google Lends Weight To NFIB Virtual Summit

Will participate in event in less than two weeks

Two days ago, we documented a bit of evidence that Google’s good to small businesses insofar as many Microsoft customers intend to start using Google Apps.  Now there’s another relevant story, since Google’s announced that it’ll participate in the NFIB Virtual Summit.

The National Federation of Independent Business is holding its Virtual Summit on September 15th.  The idea is that entrepreneurs and small business owners will be able to sit at home (or in their offices) and learn all sorts of stuff without spending money or otherwise disrupting their lives.

As for what they’re supposed to learn, sessions will cover digital marketing, eBay, healthcare, and the economy in general.

To be fair – and to make a bigger deal of the event – Google’s not the only important sponsor, either.  Others include eBay and the Heritage Foundation.  There will be prizes including a flat screen TV, too.

So if you can clear your schedule between 10 AM and 6 PM EST on the 15th (you can also check in and out during that period, or just catch up with the videos starting September 18th), the NFIB Virtual Summit should be worth checking out.
