How to Make Your Site a Daily Hotspot

Keep consumers coming back for more

Getting consumers to come to your website can be challenging, but it’s not as difficult as some businesses make it out to be. Some businesses think that they have to invest a lot of money or develop an entirely new brand before they can draw consumers back again and again, but, fortunately, they are wrong.

If a business is willing to put time in communication and engagement strategies, it has a good chance of turning its website into a daily destination. As pointed out in the above video, a business simply needs to create incentives to encourage consumers to come back to their website regularly.

A blog is one way to start this process. Through a blog, a business has the ability connect and communicate with its customers on a personal level. In addition, a business can easily let consumers know about updates and product announcements on a blog. Businesses should try to produce content that is both interesting and consistent. They can incorporate other forms of media such as videos and images to enhance the quality as well.

Community building is another way to turn a website into a daily hotspot. Today, the key to community building is social media. Although community building can be extremely beneficial to a business, it requires active involvement. Through this step, it is important to let consumers feel valued. When they provide feedback, a business needs to respond to it to continue the relationship.

If a business goes to the trouble of building a community, it makes sense that the next step would be to enable sharing. When consumers have the ability to mass distribute content, it would likely draw more visitors to a website. Some businesses don’t like the idea of letting others access their content; however, if they want to become daily destinations, they need to allow their content to get exposure. This step also has the potential to boost a site’s search engine optimization since it would likely bring in a large number of incoming links.

Fourthly, a business can drive visitors to its site by offering special deals and promotions. If a business offers continuous bargains and discounts, consumers will not only take advantage of the offers, but they will also probably come back for more.

For this step, businesses should be careful to keep these offers on a prominent, consistent page. The homepage is really the best option since visitors could find it easily.

Last but not least, businesses can use free and paid programs to encourage regular visits to their site. Many businesses offer a free webinar or white paper and then encourage consumers to sign up for a paid program to receive that content on a regular basis.

While some websites such as news sites attract people regularly, most sites do not have that luxury. For these sites, the above tips give you an opportunity to create a daily destination on your own. What are you doing to turn your website into a daily hotspot?

  1. The right amount content on your topic is the key to learn web users. Just write articles to your topic or business area and you will find what users are looking for and how they behave at your site if you use analytics and set goals to your site.

  2. The problem with writing a blog just to attract daily visitors is that you run the risk of writing about inane topics that may be of interest to you but not necessarily your visitors.  However, I did see one blog on a website which I revisit at least once a week because they always include fresh comments by customers of theirs and for some reason, I find this interesting reading.

  3. I try everything to get hits on my site i have some will come back but some will not.
