Is Your Ad Campaign Effective?

Measure it and find out

In business, everyone is always talking about metrics and how important they are. While measurement is the key to knowing whether or not your efforts are effective, it is not always an easy task, especially in advertising.

While online advertising is very measurable, traditional advertising is not. It’s hard to derive exact numerical data from traditional advertising, so instead, advertisers have to look at the effectiveness or power of each ad campaign to gain usable results.

As pointed out in the above video, advertisers can, in fact, measure their efforts but have to first know what they’re trying to measure. Advertisers need to keep their initial goals in mind as they attempt to measure their campaign’s effectiveness.

For example, if they are looking to increase their traffic or sales, they need to track both areas before, during, and after an ad campaign runs in order to have comparative data.

In addition, never be afraid to ask new customers how they heard about your business since it could open up new advertising opportunities and help track advertising efforts.
