Netscape Browser To Live A Bit Longer

One Month Extension on Support

Many small business owners and entrepreneurs will remember when Netscape dominated the web browser industry.

Netscape as you may know is going the way of the dodo, but a post on the Netscape blog has revealed that support has been extended for a month to March 1st.

"Mozilla, Flock and AOL are working together to provide tools to ease the migration of existing Netscape browser users to our recommended Flock and Firefox alternatives," says Netscape director, Tome Drapeau. "Both Flock and Firefox are built on the same Mozilla Firefox codebase."

Drapeau also revealed that there will be an update available for Netscape 9 to ease the transition to either Flock or Firefox.

Netscape was originally supposed to be put to bed yesterday, and users are grateful for the extension.
