NSBA: IRS is Targeting Your Business

They want to educate you.

Is the IRS targeting your business?

Yes, according to the National Small Business Association (NSBA).

The NSBA wants to educate small business owners about proposals that congress and the IRS are promoting, and has provided a forum for them to learn as well as speak out on the matter.

"We want to drive home the point that small business comprises 33 percent of the voting population in the U.S.," says NSBA Chair Marilyn Landis. "We will not sit idly by and watch our community be unfairly targeted."

The NSBA maintains that the IRS is preying upon small businesses noting a huge audit increase in small business operations, while audits of large corporations fell to their lowest point in 20 years.

"The IRS is preying on those least able to defend their businesses and giving large corporations a pass," says the NSBA.

Does this mentality sound familiar? I bet the American Small Business League would think so.

If you are interested in more information about this, and/or would like to speak out on the matter, the aforementioned forum can be found at PreventIRSAbuse.org.
