Preparations For Home Enterprise Day Start

Conferences, meet-ups, and contests

It’s all good and well to celebrate certain small business-oriented holidays.  The trouble is that celebrating them "the day of" can take people by surprise since they’re not exactly as well-promoted as Christmas or Halloween.  So here’s an advance notice concerning Home Enterprise Day, which is November 20th.

As a post on the Small Business Blog from Microsoft explains, there are a number of ways that small business owners can recognize the occasion.  Emma Jones, the founder of Enterprise Nation, suggests, "Attend the Enterprise Nation Conference – we’re hosting a national conference on the day with a top line-up of speakers who will inform and inspire."  Note: the conference is in London.

Or you can do a bit of sightseeing over a larger area.  Jones continues, "Starting in Scotland and travelling south, I’ll be interviewing people in their working homes, talking to policy makers and hosting home business meet-ups every night, at each stop-off point."

Other options include entering the Home Business Awards, or, of course, running your own event.

With almost four months left on the clock, there’s really all sorts of time to plan a way to recognize Home Enterprise Day properly.
