Sample Group Of UK Business Owners Doing Well

BBC finds 60 percent feeling extremely confident

Generally speaking, things that are moving in one direction can’t fly into reverse without (at least temporarily) coming to a stop.  Even though new info from the BBC doesn’t exactly indicate that the economy’s soaring, then, it’s at least good to see that the descent has slowed.

The BBC has been talking to the owners of ten small businesses for some time now and comparing their confidence on a month-to-month business.  The March feedback was recently released, and it turns out that only two of the ten owners became less positive about their firms.  This sort of ratio seems likely to occur in any economic situation.

Otherwise, a total of five owners reported no change in their confidence levels, which isn’t so bad.  And three owners started to feel a little more secure, which is nice to hear.

In fact, these changes left a full six out of the ten individuals reporting at least an eight out of ten in terms of confidence, and again, this seems pretty good no matter what the condition of the global economy.

Given another couple of months, hopefully other small businesses will catch up to this pack.  One positive, semi-related note: the Dow’s risen by around 140 points so far today.
