Bing Outage Teaches About Uptime, Accessibility

Recently, Microsoft's search engine, Bing, went offline. Bloggers and Twitter users immediately began to whine about it as if the world were ending, and even after the outage ended (roughly 30 minutes later), the flood of complaints continued. This should serve as a lesson about the importance of uptime and accessibility.
Target Case Sparks Site Accessibility Controversy

Those of you selling online may want to start paying closer attention to the accessibility of your site if you are not already doing so. Last week, Target settled a lawsuit with the National Federation of the Blind (NFB), paying out upwards of $5 million because their site was not deemed accessible enough.
