Citigroup Says D.C. Small Biz Owners Hopeful

Washington, D.C. is America's capital, and as much as its politicians may embarrass us at times, its goings-on help set the tone for what happens elsewhere. So there's good news today, as Citigroup found that small business owners in D.C. are pretty optimistic about 2011.

The Dow is up 2.31 percent at the moment, and the Nasdaq is up an even more impressive 2.63 percent, perhaps making this bit of news irrelevant. But we're still pleased to report that three-quarters of small business owners believe they're ready for a return to recessionary conditions.
Citi Gives $200M To Stimulate Small Biz Lending

There's good news today for small business owners who are interested in getting a loan. Citi has decided to use $200 million to launch something called the Communities at Work Fund, and the purpose of this fund is to promote small business lending.
