Nominations Window Open For Small Business Summit

On March 8th, the Sixth Annual Small Business Summit will begin in New York City, and a certain number of small businesses will be recognized for their good work. But before that happens, a nominations period is necessary, and we're pleased to report that the window's now open.From now until February 1st and February 8th, the owners of small firms can submit their companies' names for the 2011 Small Business Strategy Award and a "Hot Tech Demo" segment, respectively. One business can win the first award; as many as ten can win the second.
Minnesota Event To Offer Internet Marketing Tips

Small business owners who live in or close to Minnesota may want to gas up their cars and go on a short road trip tomorrow. A "Local University" event is due to take place at the Westin Edina Galleria, with representatives from Google and Bing giving tips concerning local marketing.

If you can't make it to North Yorkshire, England on September 16th and 17th, don't worry - you shouldn't miss too much. Which isn't to say that the NFEA Conference taking place then won't be valuable, but instead, relates to live coverage of it that'll be offered. First things first: the NFEA Conference is geared toward enterprise agencies. "A Fine Balance: Social Ethos or Commercial Focus" is the official theme this year.

Next Monday, November 17h, the New York Times is hosting its fourth annual Small Business Summit at the Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers in NYC. I know travel expenses are one of the things many businesses are trying to cut back on, but before you read any further, general admission for this thing is only $99. That's not too bad, especially if you live in the New York area.
