Upcoming Small Business Events for 2009
By Chris Crum - Mon, 03/09/2009 - 2:09pm.
The Search Engine Marketing Expo is going on as I write this, and we are covering that event over at WebProNews. However, I wanted to give something of a round-up of small business-related ents coming up throughout the year. This list is probably not complete, and I'd like to encourage you to add to it via the comments section if you do not see an event that you know about. Note: The list is frequently being updated via comments, so check back often. These are some that are on the way:

FSB Gearing Up For Annual Conference
By Doug Caverly - Thu, 01/22/2009 - 4:01pm.
Sorry, American readers - this is another story that may be of more interest to people on the opposite side of the Atlantic. But if you have some frequent flyer miles built up or wouldn't mind combining business with pleasure on a vacation, the Federation of Small Businesses Annual Conference 2009 could be worth dropping in on.
Marketing Needs for Small Businesses
By Chris Crum - Wed, 11/26/2008 - 10:28am.
If small businesses want to compete with the big boys, they need to realize that there are a lot of marketing mehtods out there. By Chris Crum - Tue, 11/11/2008 - 9:10am.
Next Monday, November 17h, the New York Times is hosting its fourth annual Small Business Summit at the Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers in NYC. I know travel expenses are one of the things many businesses are trying to cut back on, but before you read any further, general admission for this thing is only $99. That's not too bad, especially if you live in the New York area.

As promised, we had people in Columbus, Ohio that last two days to cover the Small Business Marketing Unleashed event. From that, Mike McDonald has come back with a number of video interviews. Some will be posted at SmallBusinessNewz.com, while others will find their way to WebProNews.

By Chris Crum - Mon, 09/22/2008 - 11:22am.
Reporters for our sister site WebProNews spent the weekend in Las Vegas, attending the BlogWorld Expo, as I mentioned here. While the video interviews are still to come on the WebProNews Video Blog, I have been writing up my fair share of posts from notes that our reporter Abby sent in.

By Chris Crum - Thu, 08/28/2008 - 1:09pm.

Get Corporate Sponsors for Conferences!
By Wayne Hurlbert - Fri, 08/22/2008 - 4:31pm.
Every day business people receive opportunities to attend conferences all over North America, Europe, Asia, Australia and every other continent. I am expecting a conference booked in Antarctica any day now. Attending these worthwhile events is not possible financially for everyone, however.
