David Cameron Talks Gov't Contracts, Small Business

David Cameron, the leader of the UK's Conservative Party, said a few things this weekend that should interest small business owners. Cameron essentially stated that he's in favor of giving more government contracts to small businesses, and named a couple of steps that he'd like to take towards that end.

The US Small Business Administration released its annual Procurement Scorecard today, and revealed that small businesses won a record $93.3 billion in federal prime contracts in Fiscal Year 2008, an increase of almost $10 billion from 2007.

It's amazing how often these stories keep popping up. Granted, the source is always the same - the American Small Business League (ASBL), and they clearly have an agenda. That agenda seems to be a pretty noble one as far as small business is concerned though, and if no one else is highlighting what is going on in the government with regards to small business contracts, we'll be all ears of what the ASBL has to say about it.
