New Year's resolutions are often of a personal nature; people want to lose weight, become better husbands/wives/parents, or whatever.  But financial issues also get some attention, and in the event any small business owners want to clean up their credit card situations, the Federation of Small Businesses stands right behind them.

A Credit Card Bill That Would Actually Be Good

Yesterday, Doug discussed business credit-building pointers, quoting Tyson Elliott who named making sure you have a business credit card as the most basic step. Unfortunatley, credit card companies don't always play fair, and that is a notion that has sparked the House of Representatives to approve a bill to keep these companies from exercising practices that are harmful to small business owners.

Report Claims Credit Card Use Declining

Used properly, credit cards are fantastic.  They allow people to buy a gallon of milk (or a plasma TV), not pay anything for one month, and collect some sort of reward (even if it's just an improved credit score) in the meantime.  Unfortunately, a lot of folks don't pay off their balances, and it looks like these consumers are turning to credit cards less frequently.
