Most Entrepreneurs Fail.
By Chris Crum - Fri, 09/12/2008 - 10:56am.
Browsing through my feeds this morning, I came across an interesting little list from Rich Whittle at the Business Opportunities Weblog, though it originated from Inc.com. The list is of 5 mistakes that entrepreneurs make. Without getting into all of the details of the Inc.com post, the list goes:

By Aurora Brown - Fri, 08/29/2008 - 11:20am.
cmypitch is a social network for small and medium businesses. It is essentially a startup that tries to help your company connect with people who can help your business. Look at Carl Ocab, who started teaching people how to make money online at the age of 13.

By Chris Crum - Wed, 06/25/2008 - 1:07pm.
I was reading an article today called "Combining Existing Business Concepts" at Small Business Compendium. The topic of the article is pretty clear from the title. They cite YouTube who combined TV and the Internet. They also cite Google who has branched out from being simply a search engine to providing all kinds of services like maps, blogs, and all of their wonderful tools (not to mention buying YouTube).

Here are the six simple steps for building a startup (in this case, a software startup).
What's In Your Name?
By Chris Crum - Thu, 06/19/2008 - 11:11am.
It may seem that what you decide to name your company is crucial to the life of your brand. Basically, it is your brand, so naming it right from the beginning must be in your best interest for ensuring that that life is a long one. The Wall Street Journal has posted an interesting look at company naming, featuring a test from name consultants "Eat my Words". The "Smile & Scratch Test" as it's called works this way:
Small Business Owners Need Vacations Too
By Rich Brooks - Tue, 06/17/2008 - 7:59am.
If you're an entrepreneur or small business owner like me, you probably find it difficult to take time off.
