YouTube For Marketing Your Local Business? Syndicate content

Caroline Melberg at Small Business Mavericks  has pointed out that YouTube has added a local search feature.As far as I'm concerned, this is good news for business owners, particularly ones that wish to market via online video.

A New Local Search Resource Syndicate content

I just received a heads-up from the developers of a new local search resource - one heavily focused on mapping - GenieKnows Local. At first glance it offers up a similar functionality to Google Maps Business search, however, it wraps up some different services and offers some interesting add-ons. I'm not sure if I'm big on the name, but the results seem to be pretty good and thats what's important.

Google Doesn't Have the Only Maps Syndicate content

As I've mentioned previously, you should definitely get your business listed in Google Maps, especially if you are a local brick and mortar business. But let's remember that while Google may be the most popular, it is not the only search engine people use. I'm sure you've heard of the "big three", rounded out by Yahoo! and Microsoft.
