Public perception of the self-employed may soon improve, thanks to an ad campaign the National Association for the Self-Employed launched today. The NASE's message - which is accompanied by attention-catching images of businesspeople wearing bunny slippers - is that self-employed individuals don't just sit around the house in their PJs.The campaign uses the slogan "The self-employed - not so 'bunny' anymore" to emphasize the point, and the aim is for this to go viral and influence policymakers in Washington.
More Tax Tips From The NASE
By Doug Caverly - Wed, 03/31/2010 - 1:52pm.
It's once again getting to be that time of year when high blood pressure medication should probably be handed out on street corners. NASE Introduces Business Trip Mileage App
By Doug Caverly - Thu, 03/18/2010 - 1:45pm.
While it's hard to argue with the functionality of this approach, carrying around a crumpled piece of paper and scribbling various distances on it is perhaps not the most elegant way of tracking business-related mileage. NASE Gets In Touch With The President
By Doug Caverly - Fri, 10/23/2009 - 11:43am.
In Thursday night's episode of "30 Rock," Will Arnett's character revealed that he'd gained the ear of President Obama by becoming a sort of gal pal to Sasha and Malia. But in real life, it's rather harder to get an audience with our nation's leader, and so you may be surprised (and glad) to hear that the National Association for the Self-Employed was able to pass along a few words.
