Following fee changes, they don't look so badIf the eBay fee changes have got you bummed, know that there are alternatives. Some of them are a bit obvious, but that makes them no less good, and there are a few other less-known ones that we'll try to bring to light.
eCrater is where "Raia" took her business. According to Stacy Cowley, the seller of vintage lingerie and clothing has had some success there, but not as much as at her older, more established, location. Which led Raia to try Bidville, HiBidder.com, and iOffer, where maybe you might also have good luck.
Another alternative is the giant that's been eating into eBay for quite some time now: Amazon. Will Barker took his belts and belt buckles business to this site, and seemed to suffer an initial drop in sales. He's now doing pretty well, though, making over $11,000 in December compared to the high of $4,000 per month he once received through eBay.
Also, although it may take some time, money, and technical knowledge, there's always the option of setting up your own site. The majority of the former eBay users interviewed by Cowley did this, and they appear quite happy with the results.
Finally, it's possible (though unlikely) that you can bring back the old days just by taking a vacation. If enough people abandon eBay, the company could be forced to undo its changes.

Other sites other than E-Bay
Another great site that has only been open a short while is easybid.com. I paid a onetime fee and it is good for life, with no added charges for anything, posting,Bold headlines, placing in more than one category etc.
They even have a system for those that go pro like I did, that pays you a $ amount as you now own shares in the company. I sat back and made money already without doing a thing as I have a share of the company stock that came freee with my lifetime membership.
I really like the site, it is easy to set up your auction, monitor it,change it etc. They use paypal like E-Bay, and also have other means of payment also for the customer.
Just thought maybe someone would like to know.
Thank you,

RE: Exploring Alternatives To eBay
www.ioffer.com
Try www.ioffer.com - this is a real alternative, not one of those auction sites no one visits. It has a very high traffic rank & lots of users. Not identical to ebay in the way it works but just as effective.
Another great alternative to
Another great alternative to ebay is www.usauctionslive.com no listing fees!

www.offertime.net
Another one I feel worth mentioning is Another Ebay Alternative, OfferTime I do enjoy Ioffer as well.
Another one - growing fast
In my search for an alternative to ebay I stumbled upon BONANZLE. It is a really cool and easy to use site that is very user community minded and operates more as an offer / negotiate / accept platform instead of some silly auction that can have you loose the thing you desire at the last second, even after diligently monitoring anf bidding wisely.
Go on over and check it out. I been on since early August when the membership was about 340 or so, its now grown to over 1700 users and more sign up each day. Tools on the site will help you through anything you need to know, even for a first-timer like me...
Go to www.bonanzle.com and sign-up for yourself, see what I mean.
Great info
There are definitly some alternatives to ebay which is why ebay is having a difficult time.
