The Resources You Need to Run a Successful Business

Have You Checked out the Small Business Directory?

I would like to take this opportunity to announce to readers of SmallBusinessNewz, the launch of our new Small Business Directory.

The Small Business Directory is a human-edited directory focusing on resources that can help aid in the success of small businesses.

This is not your everyday catch-all directory full of spammy sites. We monitor this one to ensure that it remains a helpful resource to find information and help related to a wide variety of business topics.

The Small Business Directory is currently divided into 44 categories, but this number will likely grow in the future as the directory itself grows, lending itself to even more niche categories.

Categories range from Brick and Mortar and Signage to eCommerce and Search Engine Marketing.

We are always open to submissions from those who offer a site that can be useful to someone starting and/or operating a business. This is not a place to submit any site you may have. Spammers need not apply.
So if you run "Alfie's Donut Shop", this is not the place to submit your site. You may, however find the directory useful for finding information and advice to help you run your donut shop more successfully.

I think you probably get the basic gist of what we are offering here. There is no cost to get listed in the Small Business Directory, but as I said, your submission must meet the criteria to make it in.

We will always be looking to improve our listings so if there are business-related sites that aren't listed that you feel should be, please feel free to submit them or suggest them to me an email, and I will take them into consideration.

Now I have already submitted our site, we generally do no charge for information seeker. So will my submission amounts to non commercial site? please be elaborative about this.

Commercial or non-commercial

Commercial and non-commercial sites will be accepted as long as we consider them helpful resources to other businesses.

How about a directory category "website services" so small businesses can look for someone to do there website

Is it safe to assume that all business to business services will be accepted into the directory?

How does your approval committee define helpful?

If I was a business manager, who needed that cup of coffee and shot of sugar, to keep me energized, it would help me to know where i could get it.

Are you operating as an open model? In other words, do you allow links in comments, that link to services or products offered by the content providers? Meaning those who are commenting on the topics.

I wouldn't say ALL B2B services will be accepted, but they should be if they are submitted to a relevant category. Others are generally accepted into the XYZ category.

We define helpful as a site that small business owners in general could find relevant information or services for a given topic.

You lost me at the commenting part. There is no place for commenting within the directory. If you are referring to the descriptions, then no, there will be no links in those.
