Drive Your Way To Brand Awareness

Got a car? Got a business? Promote thyself!

Chances are, you already own a potentially effective way to increase the visibility of your local business.

In checking out some inexpensive promotion suggestions at SavingAdvice.com, we found one of particular interest, since it represented something we see regularly around town - the vehicle as rolling advertisement.

Plenty of people, contractors especially, place their business names and contact details on their vehicles. When they are parked at a work site, the neighbors can easily pick up on the contractor's line of work.

Contractors are not the only small business owners out there, of course. Anyone who has an operation with a place of customer contact, be it through a website or at a brick and mortar store, is a custom paint job away from turning their car or truck or minivan into a hard-working mobile billboard.

As with most things in life, the more that's put into it, the more it should yield as a result. An attractive graphic design accompanied by the business brand and contact information will draw eyeballs wherever it goes.

Just because you stop working for a few minutes to make a run to the local grocery or office supply store doesn't mean you have to stop promoting the business. A well-designed paint job may catch the eye of someone who happens to need or want what you have to offer; why leave out a chance to get a future customer's attention?

Mobile Advertising

Hi David, It's funny that I came across this article. I registered dotcomobile.com a few years ago. I was going to lease a hummer or high profile vehicle & offer rolling advertisement via medium sized vinyl ads on the truck/car & drive it at peak times through New York City! I am an outdoor advertiser by trade. I do the ball in Times Square for New Years each yr, all of the billboards, big screen tvs, moving images & signage on Broadway, 42nd st & Times Square. It would offer a great opportunity for dot com companies to gain exposure & be seen by thousands a day, 7 days a week. I live very close to the City. As far as ads on vehicles, I have a beautiful fish shaped vinyl ad on my back window. I travel a lot & there's thousands of people out there who are "rolling customers" as well as me being a "rolling billboard". Advertising is my life. If you're interested in a joint venture, I'll re-register the domain & we'll start a new trend. I'll do all the driving! :) Michael Di Pippo, President & CEO http://penfishingrods.com If you haven't seen the world's smallest fishing rods and reels, watch this video. Good stuff

I'll have to pass on the joint venture idea, but I'm glad to see people have found something useful to do with their vehicles for marketing purposes.

Mobile Advertising Wins!

If you spend a lot of time on the road, you should definitely look into getting your vehicle wrapped with vinyl.  Companies out there can wrap a car for anywhere from a few hundred, to a few thousand dollars.  I know a few business owners that have their vehicles wrapped and they couldnt be happier.  Just the other day I was told by a client that they got their car wrapped and within a few hours of getting it back from the shop they got a call because of it.

advantages of mobile advertising

David:

I was delighted to find this article on mobile advertising.

I purchased a digital scrolling message system for the back window of my car.

Prior to getting this sign, I always hated getting stopped at a traffic light, or railroad crossing.  This has all changed now.

I registered http://webintel.mobi , http://here1st.mobihttp://searchhere1st.mobi , and http://sportaction.mobi   domain names for my business, and have messages of 120 characters scrolling one after the other on my sign.

Now I have a captive audience when I'm stopped in traffic, and people can't seem to resist reading my messages.

RE: Drive Your Way To Brand Awareness

Ive made sales from someone seeing the License Plate Frames on my Van advertising my online business.

Its worth doing so.
