Business Inspiration from the Young

Young people overcome obstacles and build businesses...

It's always nice to see an inspirational story come up in the cutthroat world of business.

An event is being held on April 2nd, to honor about 30 young aspiring entrepreneurs and award them with cash prizes to use towards their startups or further their education.

Some of these youngsters come from backgrounds that didn't exactly have the cards stacked in their favor, but were able to overcome their obstacles and start successful businesses.

NFTE Honors Graduates One of the kids was inspired to start a business involving motivational messages after his brother was shot to death. Another escaped his crack-addicted parents only to start a seminar business to help other young people.

The event is being hosted by the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship, a non-profit organization whose purpose is to help underprivileged young people learn how to run businesses. Each of the kids to be honored at the event are graduates of the foundation's education program.

It is great that programs like this exist and can help those less fortunate build better lives for themselves. You can learn more about the foundation here and the event here.
