Carolyn Kepcher whom you may remember from The Apprentice, has partnered with Yahoo! Small Business to offer grants to women entrepreneurs.
Three women will receive the grants, each of which will include cash, mentorship, and technical services valued at over $25,000. Yahoo! and its partners will also provide the recipients with web design and marketing services.
The grant program is called "Seeds for Success: Empowering Women Entrepreneurs".
"The 'Seeds for Success' grant program will help shine a spotlight on the powerful combination of inspiring women, breakthrough business ideas, and the unlimited reach of the Internet, provided by Yahoo! Small Business," said Susan Vobejda, vice president, marketing, Yahoo! Small Business.
The grant recipient that is the most successful by October as a result of the grant package, will receive an additional $10,000 bonus grant.
Women entrepreneurs can submit applications for the grants here.
To qualify, you must be a woman, plan to launch or have already launched a business, and intend to use the Internet to aid in your success. The deadline for entering is April 6th.

I think giving women more
I think giving women more empowerment is great for society. They bring new ideas to the workplace and really have great work ethic in my experience. Nobody should discount the effect they can have in the long run.
I agree with Josh and think
I agree with Josh and think that now that's it's 2011 we need to recognize women as equals. Grants like this put them on a more level playing field because we all know there are still sexist people in today's workplace.
