I've noticed that the subject of women in business has been in the news a lot over the past few days.
Yahoo is offering a chance for women entrepreneurs to win grants to help their businesses.
The state of Ohio has developed a directory of Women Business Owners to "allow women to market businesses, find vendors and services, and link up with the recently expanded Entrepreneurship and Small Business Division, which manages a number of small-business programs for the state."
A Women's business forum is taking place in Carlisle, Pennsylvania next Thursday.
A roundtable was held honoring women's rights champion and entrepreneur Lucy Stone and examining ways to empower women in business.
Women were dominant in the annual Business Builder award winners.
And the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) announced what it perceives to be the 16 top businesses in the country for women's business enterprises. Among them were AT&T, IBM, Office Depot and both Coke and Pepsi. See the full list here.
