Showing Your Customers That They're Important

I've been writing a lot lately about treating customers right because I feel that a business that can put themselves in the shoes of the customer, will better be able to serve their own, and ultimately get more business as a result. I also think we can all identify with how customers are treated, because we're all customers it one capacity or another. Everybody is a customer to someone.

Ask anyone: it's so, so nice to receive that $600 tax rebate check. And it's so, so easy to start comparing the $600 to the price tag of whatever random product or service you want most. But a new report indicates consumers may not try to send the money on to small businesses.
Avoiding Customer Deception

Perhaps deception is a strong word, because I don't think that it is always intentional, but misleading customers is just not a smart move if you ask me. Be up front with them and you will earn trust, and trust will earn you repeat business. You will not earn trust if upon checkout the customer learns about hidden fees or something. Hidden Costs

Here's a question for the brick and mortars. Are you providing a comfortable environment for your customers? TemperatureAs we get closer to the summertime, heat is going to become more of a factor for the comfort level of your customers, not to mention yourself and your employees. Keeping your store at a reasonable temperature may not seem like a huge factor in the buying process, but I think many customers would disagree.
