April is going to be a busy month for small business events. I wanted use this article as kind of a resource to find information about small business-related events for the month.

Upcoming events include:

Small Business Marketing Unleashed

Small Business Marketing Unleashed is one of the upcoming conferences generating the most buzz. It's a 2-day event beginning April 21st, promising hands on workshops, distinguishing it from other marketing conferences.

National Small Business Week

Of course you've heard a lot about National Small Business Week, which begins April 21st as well. It will officially include 3 days of events in Washington D.C. and New York City.

Vision to Venture

This is actually a series of conferences specifically for women entrepreneurs, sponsored by Microsoft. April Dates include the 2nd in St. Louis, the 15th in San Diego, the 22nd in Miami, and the 24th in Austin. Events carry over into May.

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Small Business Conference

The  U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, North Atlantic Division is hosting it's 11th annual Small Business Conference beginning April 28 in Philadelphia.

SMB Summit

The 4th Annual SMB Summit begins April 18th and will include "4 days of hands on labs, workshops, panels, and vendor solutions sessions" as well as an interactive floor featuring leading tech companies.

Federal OSDBU Directors Interagency Council

The Federal OSDBU Directors Interagency Council has five events listed for April, including: Prince George's County Federal Leasing Forum, the 41st Annual Chicago Business Opportunity Fair, the Keeping the Promise 2008 17th annual Business Symposium, the 18th Annual OSDBU Procurement Conference, and the 7th Annual Veterans and Small Business Training and Outreach Conference.

Small Business Outreach Event

On April 23rd and 24th, the Small Business Outreach Event will take place. Purposes of this event include: providing relevant government contracting training to small businesses and providing networking opportunities.

National Multicultural Business Conference

This event takes place from April 23rd to the 25th and will cover HR, supplier diversity, corporate diversity, multicultural marketing, and ethnic advertising. It will be held at Disney's Boardwalk Resort in Orlando, Florida.

Sustainable Business Conference

In Wisconsin on April 24th and 25th, the Sustainable Business Conference will be held by the Alliance for Sustainability. It will "provide small business owners and managers the opportunity to learn about sustainable business practices, hear practical examples of what can be done within a business, and leave with the ability to begin exploring their own goals and initiatives."
