This may not affect many of you, but when some small business news involving our home state comes through the wire, I feel it should be mentioned.

The Non-profit Northern Kentucky Small Business Development Center has teamed up with KY-based PR firm Eisen Management Group to spread the word about its offerings.

EMG and the SBDC-NKU will be working on a series of articles detailing best practices in small business, case studies and success stories, press releases, seminars and event promotions, and various publicity initiatives.

"We want Kentucky to engage in successful business and are committed to having all businesses succeed, so it's critical that we share with everyone who will listen that there is help, much of which is free, to assist on the path to success," said SBDC director Carol Cornell.

"If you have the passion, we have the tools and the expertise to show you how to grow your organization," added Cornell. "Similarly, this is much the same mission as EMG, so what we share in practicality, EMG is able to seamlessly implement to these small businesses, but also in promoting our organization so more entrepreneurs begin to make that dream a reality."

In other recent state news, Kentucky non-profits have until April 21st to apply for post-disaster loans.
