Effects Of High Gas Prices Increasing

And an idea or two on how to fight them

There are few things quite as fun as giving yourself whiplash while pulling away from a stoplight.  Still, gas prices have me allowing minivans take the lead, and small businesses that in any way rely on travel may suffer, as well.

If you make deliveries, you'll definitely have noticed the increases.  For that matter, you might have removed your tank of windshield washer fluid, the wipers themselves, and every spare seat in order to save weight.  Sooner or later, though, you'll have to ask customers for more money, and this could turn a few people away.

Then there's the issue of people not coming in the first place.  Danita Blackwood reports, "The number of Americans making plans to take a vacation over the next six months has fallen to a 30-year low according to a leading business membership and research organization, The Conference Board."  So if your business relies on visitors and/or tourists, things aren't looking great.

What to do?  Well, gas goes stale after a while (and it's not entirely stable, either), so hoarding the stuff isn't a great idea.  For drivers, the best approach may be to just take as many gas-saving steps as possible, and then make clear to customers what's happening.  Businesses trying to draw in customers might offer gas cards with every purchase that exceeds a certain level.

Any other ideas are welcome . . . not a single expert seems to think gas prices are going down anytime soon.

New Saving Gas Technics

I being using several ways to get up to 40 MPG in my Chevy Blazer,  I used a magnet and a wind spinner to increase fuel-air mix and got about 5 more miles per gallon, but the most fantastic save is from my HYDROXI GAS FUEL a device that produces hydrogen on demand using my car 12 volts energy (no storage of gas is need) at a ratio of 1 Liter per minute that increases the octanes and the burning efficiency of gasoline (or diesel) from 17% to about 40%, this gives me also a energy boost of 5HP and the engine works cooles and quieter, eliminates carbon and got me up to 40 MPG in this 6 cylinders SUV. I love ot, I am looking now to run enterely with water. This is OLD technology coming back.

Hybrid

If you gonna make calculation regarding fuel efficiency I guess you are considerating a hybrid vehicle! Gasoline prices continues to rise and the amount of fuel consumed by heavy vehicles is way too much today! It is better to drive a smart car than having your vehicle filled with liters of petrol that only covers a short distance, some make their vehicles lighter by changing the rims of the car and removing other components like the bulky windshield wiper motor, washer, and the passenger seat. But no matter how much me spend time on driving efficiently oil prices will never go down.

Fight back America

Why the price of gas is so high. One reason is Americans don't buy American products. We are sending our money to China, India, and the Middle east.
Below a quote from MSN today 4/16/08.
"In 2003, total international oil consumption was 79.6 million barrels, and that jumped to 85.7 in 2007. What we've seen and expect to continue," MacIntyre adds, "is that growth in demand — particularly in China, India and the Middle East — will be much faster than in the U.S."
As long as you buy their products, they will be richer and we will be poorer. Not only is it products, it's jobs. Companies hiring resources overseas instead of hiring American workers. Fair Trade, it's only fair for them, not us. It's high time the tables turned. Only YOU can stop this insanity. When you go buy a product, look at the label and see where it's made. If it's China, India, or somewhere in the Middle East, don't buy it. If you can't find a product made in the USA, at least buy something from another country so we'll stop feeding the 3 countries. Go to this web site - madeinusa.com
for American made products. You may be thinking well I can get it cheaper if I buy their products, well when you lose your job because it has been outsourced to another country, I bet your mindset will change. Fight back America!

Tell American companies to

Tell American companies to produce better products, instead of the crap they normally and this might change.  I will continue to buy what is better, even if that means Japanese, Chinese, Korean or any other country.  Quit blaming America's problems on other countries.  America needs to take responsiblity for the junk it produces and either make it better, instead of thinking how can I get people to buy this product and hopefully in a few short years they will have to buy my product again because it doesn't last.  You are a moron!

Why is gas price so high

As a lot of car manufactures are trying to create cars that do not use gas or use less gas, the cars that are already on the market will remain in the main stream for a while.

Trying to reduce the consuption and at the same time reducing toxic emmission should olso take priority. Like the nantotechnoly today should br explore much more. I know there is a nanotech fuel additive coming soon on the market and i am looking foward to it.

gas, rising , its cause and its effect.

the rise of gas, is a symptom, of globalization, which has been happening for at least the last 20 years, but the rate seems to be increasing, in the last 2 to 3 years. as the imports exceed the exports the dollar must drop in the world market, where is the gas coming from , abroad , so they need more dollars since when are dollars leave the country they are worth less. why do are imports exceed are exports , because american corporations, prefer to go where the labor costs are cheaper, china , india. this my friend is globalization. the group of individuals, known as the us government , who are taking huge sums of money from the worker, are siding the lobbyists from the corporations, who they are in bed with. so what is going to happen . the american working class, will slowly lose the quality of life that they are accustomed to. and the poorer countries , china , latin america, india, wherever people have lived in squalor, will get indoor plumbing, electricity, etc., because the jobs will go there, and the corporations will get cheaper labor. moral of the storie, theres nothing anybody can do. except get used to the new world. the rich, stay rich, or get richer. the poor stay poor , or get poorer.

Why I don't mind high gas prices

1) The higher the gas prices, the less people that are driving and consequently less traffic.

2) I hear people complaining about high gas prices, yet they are too lazy to research if someone has a solution for high gas prices...well here's the man with the solution to lower gas prices

http://www.ronpaul2008.com/articles/853/a-free-market-in-gasoline/

So if someone is complaining about high gas prices, then it should be a no-brainer to vote for the presidential candidate with a solution to high gas prices.

So that is why I don't mind high gas prices...because I know people are paying for their ignorance and laziness to learn about the problem and actually do something about it.

watever people arent rich

watever people arent rich and have diffrent circumstances

gas

ok. you have agood point. less trafic.

The cost of gas is

The cost of gas is outrageous anytime a major segment of the economy can boast of a 36 billion dollar profit and say it is legit I have issues with that. No individual segment should ever be allowed to have that kind of income for any reason ever. It truely is a monopoly or even worse collusion. The major old companies can't claim demand issues for any of the things that are happening with gas/oil prices. The worst of all of this is the investors. I think the best thing for the overall us economy would be to withdraw the ability to invest in gas/oil stock and the government take over appropriation of this source and supply thereby making it a uniform price and no tinkering back and forth on the prices all the time.. this is really off the program but something has to be done.. People are giving up their homes and just walking away from them. Businesses are closing left and right . I think american consumers are doing what they feel they have to do in order to maintain existence in a lot of homes. They are showing they can suckit up and just quit driving therefore not spending .. I just hope it continues at this rate and we will see just how bad it can get before something worth while happens.. k
