Much like I did about a month ago, I wanted to provide you all with something of a roundup of upcoming small business events around the U.S.

I will continue to add to this list as I learn about new events, and I would also like to encourage you to share other events in the comments, to try and help me make this as useful a resource as possible for people interested in attending or just learning about small business conferences, expos, etc.

Microsoft's Small Business Week Business Conference

May 13 - 15

This event kicking off today in San Francisco will provide tips and advice from experts. You will also apparently come away with a good deal of software, services, and special offers according to Upcoming.

National Small Business Conference

May 19 - 21

This conference is being held in San Diego, and will include matchmaking sessions for small businesses to connect with contractors, financial organizations, and potential buyers from the government.

Special Operations Forces Industry Conference (pdf)

May 20

There will be a day during this conference with a morning session dedicated to Small business with sessions on small business tax resources, innovation, opportunities, etc.

Department of Defense Small Business Training Conference

June 3 - 6

This event is only for DoD personnel, and will be based on building and maintaining relationships to achieve small business success.

National Small Business Summit

June 8 - 11

NFIB and eBay are putting this one on, and Senator John McCain will be speaking. Attendees can interact with policymakers, business leaders and other leading entrepreneurs.

Arizona Veterans' Business Conference

June 11 - 12

This conference for Veterans' businesses will feature sessions on topics such as developing a successful business plan, hiring and managing, government contracting, and much more.

Small Business Ombudsman/Small Business Environmental Assistance Program National Conference

June 17 - 20

This event in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, is specifically for state SBOs/SBEAPs, and other small business environmental assistance providers.

U.S. Department of Energy Small Business Conference, Expo & Matchmaking Forum

June 24 - 26

This conference in San Antonio, will provide a forum for small businesses to talk to the Department of Energy, and will provide matchmaking opportunities DoE contractors.

National Veteran Small Business Conference and Expo

July 7 - 10

Held at Caesar's Palace in Vegas, this event will cover topics such as veteran small business legislation, programs, government networking, job sourcing, business development strategies, and more.

BlogHer San Francisco

July 18 - 20

BlogHer is "the community for women who blog", and it's conferences have become somewhat famous around the blogosphere. This one will feature technical labs, educational workshops, discussion sessions, and more.

I didn't want to get too far ahead into the future, because I'll probably post another one of these articles in a month or two. But if anybody wants to mention an event happening this month or in the upcoming months, please share.
