Trouble With Finances?

SBA Offers free online courses...

If finances aren't your thing and you are looking into starting your own business, you might be interested in this piece of news.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has announced that it will offer two free online finance courses for small business owners to help them with basic finance and borrowing. The magic word there of course is "free". The fact that they are online isn't bad either. Free courses that you don't even have to leave the house for. What do you have to lose?

"It is important for the SBA to provide information tools to help our nation's entrepreneurs who desire the personal freedom and economic independence that can come with business ownership," said SBA Acting Administrator Jovita Carranza.

Another nice feature of these courses is that they are apparently "self-paced", so you can go through them on your own time and don't have to interrupt your busy schedule.

Of course there may be some hidden catch that the ASBL will point out so stay tuned.

The courses are:

- Finance Primer: Guide to SBA's Loan Guaranty Programs, and

- How to Prepare a Loan Package

If you're looking to borrow from the SBA, check them out and let us know how they were in the comments.
