I haven't written about any events in a while, and I stumbled across this one today that sounded pretty good.
It's a word of mouth marketing seminar being put on by WoM guru Andy Sernovitz.
I believe word of mouth to be one of the best ways to get customers because there is nothing like getting a testimonial from someone you trust. A customer is much more likely to visit your business if someone they know tells them good things about it as opposed to taking your advertisement's word for it.
It stands to reason that the more you learn about building positive word of mouth, the more successful you will become at attracting customers.
The "Word of Mouth Crash Course" is a one-day event, but there appear to be three separate dates that you can choose to attend.
The event, taking place in Chicago, basically lasts for the duration of a workday, from 8am to 5pm, and there is a dinner that you can attend the night before.
