Competitive Advantage
After one tells why customers will come and what sets one's business apart from the competition, quality service/products, quality customer service, one need impress upon any potential investor the ability to be in front of said customer when they are searching for one's products/services.
The creation of the Internet and the advent of the personal computer has made it much easier for the consumer to find needed and/or wanted products and services. Few people use the yellow pages anymore.
The challenge for the small business owner is to be in front of the potential customer when being searched for.
This is known as pull marketing where the customer "pulls" the information about your product/service from a search of some sort.
When I say "a search of some sort" I mean Internet search.
Consequently, one need a high ranking webpage optimized for whatever keywords a consumer may use to find you.
If you can show a potential investor that you understand this marketing strategy, I don't see any reason why the funds shouldn't flow in your direction.
There are many companies that will build a website for you but there are far fewer that have the knowledge to optimize your web presence so that it sits highly on the search engine results page.
Remember, you want to be there when people are looking for you, yes? Good!
