I'm there..
Thanks, Chris, for this informative article. I'm on LinkedIn as well as other social sites to raise awareness for my safety and security products. You're absolutely right, it's a great place to network with other business owners. I'm not sure about the income correlation but that would be nice!
a surprise package ...
To be honest, I only put some effort into LinkedIn to get a site backlink. But has it ever paid off in spades .... LinkedIn is now a cheif source of referred site traffic for my website and often does better than PPC.
Just what I needed..
Thanks alot Chris for your information about LinkedIn. I watched the video and learned alot. I will be joining and looking forward to linking with other professionals that will hopefully help me with my new site. (www.hudrefundsusa.com)
I Have Seen Growth
Judging from the emails that I am now receiving from LinkedIn, the overall network in insurance is growing. I think there are two areas for the reason for this growth
Regardless, after seeing the video, I want to make sure that my Workers Compensation blog is in my profile and that my profile is updated completely.
That was a good video. It was presented well and very concisely.

Linked In Works
I am a great believer in LinkedIn and I use it for my telecom business. There seem to be so many social networking sites out there that if you did them all, that's all you'd have time to do all day.
The beauty of Linked In is that there's no such thing as a cold call any more. If you refer to your mutual friend, then that person you are contacting will discuss your proposal. Make that phone call to the person and you have only a 10% chance of getting anywhere.
LinkedIn Advertising
I am not wet behind the ears. I know LinkedIn provide a free service for a reason. But I do object to them advertising the the users of LinkedIn as a resource. Are they giving me a share of the revenue? After all, its the users who've provided the high quality content.
perfect for small business networks

Help understanding Manta.com
Chris,
I've been building a list of business owners contacts on Manta.com. Where do you see them fitting into the mix? If nothing else - I'm enjoying the free company info on 60 million companies but now finding it to be a great way to connect with business owners. Your thoughts?
