Businesses Will Turn to Technology to Combat Economic Issues

Will You?

Laurie McCabeAs you may have heard, our economy is not in the best shape, and small businesses are making many efforts to reduce costs. This means different things for different businesses, but one trend that we are likely to see is a greater focus on technology.

How can technology save us money? That's a question that many business owners are asking themselves, and this is a concept that is explored by small business technology analyst Laurie McCabe who offers her predictions for the year. McCabe says small businesses will:

- Catch the social networking wave

- Demand solutions that do more for less

- Find fresh technology alternatives more appealing

- Favor software-as-a-service over packaged software that they have to buy, install, and manage

- Increasingly turn to non-Microsoft desktops and servers

- Innovate beyond what we can anticipate

McCabe elaborates on each of these points in her blog post, and has been speaking with me about cloud computing. SmallBusinessNewz readers can expect an interview with McCabe in the near future that discusses this subject.

Technology Saves You Money

Great article! Many small business owners fail to realize that technology can save you money. Companies spend thousands of dollars on travel expenses annually. Companies that use phone conference calling and video conferencing save money. I found this one company that helps business owners cut cost, http://www.24conference.com/flatrate.php.  I believe that technology can definitely help you save money, especially during these tough economic times.

Custom Software Helps Businesses In Difficult Economy

Technology is indeed becoming a powerful business tool for weathering the current economic conditions!  Custom built software solutions can be extremely valuable to businesses, particularly when paired with ongoing maintenance and support services.  Now is the time for businesses to save with cost-effective, tailored solutions for automated business processes, streamlined daily operations, and more.

lack of sleep can compound the problem of an ailing economy, resulting in declines in efficiency and productivity, not to mention compromising public health and safety by affecting how well we drive.
