Make a Lasting Impression Early On

Cause you may not get a second chance

We all know that first impressions are important and business impressions are vital to the overall success of the business. To make sure your business gives off the right impression, you need to establish a strong business image, which starts with a logo.

As discussed in the above video, the logo should depict who the business actually is and what it represents. In many cases, it includes the products or services. To gather ideas for your logo, observe logos and advertisements from other businesses. Other places to brainstorm include local libraries, museums, and the Internet.

Since most small businesses do not have a large budget to work with, they will try to cut costs with their logo and sometimes create it themselves. This works if you are fully capable of designing your own logo. However, if you simply throw a something together haphazardly in order to save a buck, then you may end up with a logo that you are not proud of.

On the other hand, some business owners are afraid to seek help from a design professional because they still want an opinion in the outcome. A good designer will work with you to develop a logo that accurately represents your business.

Ultimately, know that your logo is important. If possible, create a budget that allows you to create a logo that truly establishes your image and makes a lasting impression.

Is your business image important enough to make you stretch your wallet?

It's true...

As a small business owner of a safety and security web site, I agree that it's easy to cut corners when it comes to a professional logo. I need to establish one myself but its been easy to put off. Thanks, Abby, for your insight.

For Making a Lasting Impression

Having a logo is not enough for business impressions. You’d better let people know more about your business, the niche of your products and services, etc.  It’s better to have a short video on your website providing a virtual tour that makes the visitors remember you instantly. A web video can show all your information including your products or service demo, business introduction, testimonials, special offers, etc.
