Firefox compatibility
I have found that preparing web sites to work with Firefox and Safari for that matter has been a breeze, I cant comment on Chrome as I haven't done anything with it. Getting the same sites to work with Internet Explorer has resulted in me having to make compromises reducing the user experience.
Most problems being to do with forms and any sort of Google add on such as search. On Firefox everything works. Then after testing with IE things don't work as they should. One web feature that I use is Unity3D for interative 3D presentations. I was able to hash everything together using Freeway post it up on the web and it worked. Then testing with IE, it didn't resulting in me having to hand code the relevant pages and reducing the polished look that I ideally want. - Follow the links to the examples of this page Real time 3D
However most users visiting my sites are using IE so I need to make sure it works for them above all.
What makes Firefox so
What makes Firefox so special is its open source. Has many extension and/or plugins that can make your web surfing beneficial, even for your business. At West Coast Vinyl we tink around with chrome and firefox.
