If you've been thinking lately that a certain big corporation charges quite a lot for a CD, a manual, and a cardboard box, you're in good company.  The results of a survey indicate that small business owners are starting to think about going with Google's products instead of Microsoft's.

Accredited Supplier polled "1400 Microsoft customers, all small businesses in the UK," which is important to note since that's a rather large sample and the businesses' existing affiliation with Microsoft might give it a bit of an edge.

But the results indicated that 13 percent of the small businesses intended to switch to Google Apps within 12 twelve months' time.  That's an almost startling number equal to more than one-eighth of respondents.

Additionally, 22 percent of the respondents were on the fence ("undecided"), and a whopping 29 percent were unaware of Google Apps and so could perhaps be convinced to make a change.

The software on which a business runs perhaps represents a corner owners shouldn't try to cut.  Still, these survey results indicate that lots of owners think Google Apps will suit their needs, and so Google's software collection may be worth a look if you're not completely satisfied with your current solution.
