eBay to Hold Events for Small Businesses

eBay Launching On Location Series

With 90 million active users, eBay is one of the leading places online to start a business. The company has decided to lend a helping hand to small-businesses and part-time eBay sellers to advance their career opportunities. The company has announced a new series of events called eBay: On Location. Starting in March the affair will stop at Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, and San Jose.

"eBay sellers are creative entrepreneurs who understand that eBay’s global reach and dynamic marketplace offer the ideal setting to start and build a business online," says eBay Marketplaces President Lorrie Norrington. "We invite our sellers to eBay: On Location to connect with each other and to take the next step in making their eBay businesses even more successful."

eBay On LocationThe event will bring together eBay sellers and provide them with useful knowledge about developing a more powerful business on eBay. This gives attendees a chance to network and share ideas with one another. Timely business topics and classes constructed to service eBay sellers in a path to success, will be heard from national speakers and eBay's own experts.

“eBay sellers have become savvier about how to use eBay in ingenious ways,” said Jim “Griff” Griffith, senior manager, Seller Strategy and eBay’s Dean of Education. “eBay: On Location is a great way for the seller community to come together and share those strategies—and learn something new from experts.”

John Janstch, marketing and digital technology coach, will speak at eBay: On Location "instructing attendees on how to leverage social networking tools to grow their businesses on eBay." The sessions will also offer tips on taking your business to the next level, advice on increasing sales and reducing cost, and using tools to market products.

They are only allowing 500 people per event, on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost is $45 per person.
