Google recently revealed the new click-to-call phone numbers for local ads on mobile devices, such as iPhone, Android and Palm Pre, with complete internet browsers.
Following this new announcement, Google is giving the same click-to-call to national advertisers through phone extensions. Phone extensions give you access to add a phone number that will notify you whenever your ad is generated no matter the user's location. From this, your contact number will be displayed in old and new campaigns at the end of ad text.
Steps for national companies to enable their number on mobile web browsers:
1. Get phone extensions and add your contact number for your business. Users will then be able to call your number straight from the ad by simply clicking the number.
2. In your campaign setting, make sure you have chosen to show your ads.
This allows customers to call straight from the ad and form a connection with your business from their phone. Companies can view the number of phone calls they have received for each key word, ad group or campaign.
