Small business owners in New Hampshire - and perhaps other states, given that a dropdown menu gives many options - now have another place to turn when they're in search of answers or advice.  The New Hampshire state government has helped launch myExpertNet, a site designed to connect small businesses with knowledgeable specialists.

A number of organizations, including Centrix Bank, Comcast, the Knowledge Institute, the New Hampshire Divisions of Economic Development, Public Service of New Hampshire, and Unitil actually contributed to the site, which is free.

Then, in terms of what topics the site's experts should be able to deal with, there's something of a laundry list, covering 26 subjects from accounting and administration to Web R&D and women in business.

Those are some promising facts.  Consider, too, that there are business counselors and business development tools lined up.

We'll just issue a couple quick warnings, though.  First, for the sake of not wasting any of the experts' time, we haven't tried out the question and answer system.  Also, the appearance of the site is rather jarring, with a scowling woman, a bright green background, and a man painting his face fluorescent orange all visible on the homepage.
