We've stated before that it's important to solicit customer feedback - they're the folks who keep everyone in business, after all - and Google's now made the actual collection process easier.  Consider saying goodbye to random phone lines and excess email addresses with Google Sites and Google Moderator.

There are some obvious benefits to pairing these two products, because in addition to the phone line/email address issue, setup's simple.  As explained on the Google Small Business Blog, it's just a four-step process.  First, "Create a series at Google Moderator."

Then, "Start editing a page in your Google Site, and go to Insert and then More gadgets. Click on Featured and select Google Moderator at the bottom."  Next, "Click Select and . . . . [c]opy and paste the URL from the series you created into the Moderator URL box, and make sure to check the Include a scrollbar on gadget when necessary option."

Finally, just click OK and save the whole thing.

If done correctly, this'll create a nice-looking place on a small business site where feedback can be collected.  Plus, people will be able to vote on suggestions, helping business owners figure out whether a piece of advice is something one person wants or a whole mob desires.
