Once upon a time, printing anything was a significant hassle. You'd have to let the printer warm up, tolerate sluggish print speeds, endure loud noises, and finally tear off the paper's perforated edges. Now, Epson wants small business owners to enjoy a totally different experience with a new generation of WorkForce ink jet machines.
To get the matter of price out of the way: the Epson WorkForce 635 should sell for $229.99, the Epson WorkForce 633 should sell for $199.99, and the Epson WorkForce 630 should sell for $179.99, so these aren't terribly expensive printers.
As for what they offer in terms of features and capabilities, an official statement from Epson explained, "The WorkForce 635, WorkForce 633 and the WorkForce 630 bring several key advantages to small businesses starting with print speeds of 15 ISO ppm black and 7.2 ISO ppm color. In addition, each model has a 250-sheet input tray allowing users to load up to half a ream of paper at a time."
Also, "[T]he new WorkForce All-in-Ones offer high-quality 2400 dpi scanning and rapid faxing with the capability to store up to 60 names and numbers." Plus there's built-in WiFi and a small LCD screen.
That all makes the WorkForce printers sound like pretty good deals.
If you're interested, they should be out in September, and - this is very important - tech blogs and users should deliver proper reviews soon thereafter.
