UK-based small business owners who are interested in search engine optimization and Web design - or just the opportunity to perform a little person-to-person networking - may owe a "thank you" to the Forum of Private Business.  The FPB has organized a series of get-togethers that'll take place all over the region.

There will actually be 11 meetings spanning a period of time from September 9th to December 7th, meaning just about everyone should be able to squeeze in one or two.  What's more, the events will be free, and the FPB's even prepared to put out a bit of food.

A couple other facts: most of the meetings are scheduled for Thursdays, and they'll all take place between about 8 AM and 10 AM.

As for some more descriptive details, the FPB's chief executive, Phil Orford, explained in a statement, "With the help of experts from Creare, we will explain the many different ways in which the internet can help develop your business, whether that be by spreading the word about your products and services, opening up new markets and opportunities, or by providing a new and cost-effective sales platform."

Creare's managing director, Mike McKinley, also emphasized, "In today's market, there is no better way to generate an effective return on investment than by using the internet, and effective search engine optimisation is an integral part of any successful marketing strategy."
